Landing Page Mistakes to Avoid
The most common landing page mistakes that kill conversions, and how to design landing pages that turn visitors into leads and customers.

A responsive landing page for a paid campaign or an ongoing funnel. It asks for one thing: a download in exchange for contact details, a purchase, or a booking. There is no menu, and it does not link out to the rest of the site.
You keep the relationship. We never email or call your client. Pick the build that matches the campaign.
Choose a template. We edit it with your client's branding and the campaign details, so lead capture can start without a page designed from scratch.
We build on Unbounce, ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or Kajabi, so leads can land in the CRM they already use. This is the fast, conversion-focused option.
We design a custom page to the brief, when a template or a third-party tool is not what they need.
How it runs
You are involved at every step. Before the page goes live, we test it in Europe.
Revisions

You review the page and send the edits back. We tell you how long those edits will take before we start them.
Book a callThe page is not waiting on your own team to design it. You get that time back for the rest of the client's marketing, or for growing the agency. This is the split.
| Task | Your agency | |
|---|---|---|
| We read the brief and clear up what is missing before we design. | ||
| We build the page you chose: a template with their branding, a page on Unbounce, ClickFunnels, Leadpages, or Kajabi, or a custom page. | ||
| We tell you the date you can expect the page. | ||
| We answer questions about status while the project is open. | ||
| We tell you how long any edits will take before we do them. | ||
| We test that the page works, fix the bugs we find, and put it live. | ||
| The project loaded in the portal, with the brief filled in: purpose, references, client information, keywords, the type of design, and any files. | ||
| A choice of template, third-party platform, or custom page, plus instructions when it is custom. | ||
| Logins when the page has to be published on their side: the website, FTP, hosting (including cPanel), or the CMS, such as WordPress. | ||
| The words, or a note that we should use placeholder text. If you want the copy written, order website copy separately. | ||
| Someone available while the project is open. If a decision waits, the page waits. | ||
| Feedback once your client has approved the work. |

When the words are not in the brief, we fill the page with placeholder text so you can review the design.
If you want the words written for the page, including for search, order website copy as its own project.
The tool we build on can restrict the design, and sometimes more than the design. We say so before we start, so the brief matches what that platform can do.
A custom page avoids those tool limits. It still follows the brief you send.

If you already sell websites, offer this the same way. If it is new, bundle the page with copywriting, or sell it as conversion work: campaign traffic goes to one action, not to a website with a menu. It fits a launch, an offer, or an event, and the page can be written for one audience. A workshop on landing pages is another way to show why the page matters before you quote it.
After the page is live, we can run the paid social that sends people to it, or the email sequences that follow up the leads it collects.
