You review the strategy, the structure, and the ads, and you send changes through Basecamp. After launch we A/B test and adjust what is not working.
YouTube can target viewers from their Google search history, then place the ad on videos, in search, on the homepage, on partner sites and apps, and on YouTube TV. You keep the client. We run the campaign behind your brand. Ad spend is billed separately.
The campaign, the leads, and the monthly report sit under your agency's name. We do not contact your client.
You load the project. We plan it and set it up. Your people stay on the rest of the client's marketing.
Objectives, audience, keywords, call to action, format, budget, timeline, branding, and the style of the content are agreed before anything is published.
We track the actions you name, such as a purchase or a sign-up, then report them each month in a file you can brand as your own.
Skippable ads are charged when someone watches more than 30 seconds or interacts. In-feed ads are charged per click. Bumper ads are charged per thousand impressions.
The format follows the job. Longer stories use skippable and in-feed ads. Short announcements use non-skippable and bumper ads.
Plays before, during, or after another video. Viewers can skip after 5 seconds. Your client is charged only if someone watches for more than 30 seconds or interacts with the ad. It fits a longer message, where the goal is engagement rather than a forced view.
A thumbnail and text in discovery places such as the homepage or search results. Charged per click. It fits people who are browsing and more open to something new.
15 seconds. Viewers cannot skip it. Larger advertisers often use it for a short announcement. A forced view is a weaker way for a small business to build a connection. It fits a larger budget that needs a brief, high-impact message.
6 seconds, cannot be skipped, before, during, or after a video. Charged per thousand impressions. It fits a mobile audience and a short brand line, or a time-sensitive offer.
How it runs
You approve the plan before it goes live. After that we test, adjust, and send a monthly report you can put your name on.
You review the strategy, the structure, and the ads, and you send changes through Basecamp. After launch we A/B test and adjust what is not working.
Ad spend is billed separately from the management fee. The ads stop when the agreed budget is spent or the campaign end date arrives. That limit sits on the platform. We cannot keep the ads up after it.
The campaign waits when the brief, the video, or the approval is late. This is the split.
| Task | Your agency | |
|---|---|---|
| We gather what the campaign needs and set it up to the brief. | ||
| We look at the business, the industry, competing ads, and any history in the account. | ||
| We prepare the content and send it for approval through Basecamp. | ||
| We set conversion tracking on the actions you name, such as purchases or sign-ups. | ||
| We publish the approved campaign on YouTube through Google Ads. | ||
| We A/B test the ads and optimise where the results ask for it. | ||
| Each month we report impressions, click-through rate, views and watch time, conversions, who watched, and cost per click or cost per thousand views. The report is yours to brand. | ||
| Set and manage what your client should expect. | ||
| Work with us closely in the first weeks. | ||
| Make sure the brief is complete, and on time. | ||
| Share the Google login for the YouTube channel when the campaign needs that access. | ||
| Send the video we should promote. | ||
| Review, adjust, and approve the structure and the content on time. | ||
| Send our report on to your client. | ||
| Pass their change requests back to us. |

The ads can run on YouTube, in YouTube search, on the homepage, on partner websites and apps, and on YouTube TV. YouTube chooses the videos from the description and whether the channel is suitable for ads, from the viewer's interests and browsing, and from earlier visits to your client's business or a similar one.
The service summary cites outside figures, which are not oceanone results. Semrush, in December 2023, ranked YouTube the second most visited site after Google. WebFX reports a higher return than television in 77% of studies at those spend levels, and that 6 in 10 viewers favour YouTube over traditional media. Forbes, in June 2016, reported that 59% of key decision-makers would rather watch a video than read. The summary also says 70% of shoppers are open to learning about a product from a brand they see on YouTube. None of those figures is a result we promise on one account.
If the intake form is missing or only partly filled in, we cannot set the campaign up on the agreed date. If a message in Basecamp sits unanswered, the next step waits. If approval of a time-sensitive recommendation is late, we cannot put that test or that change live while it still applies.
The ads also disappear once the budget is spent, and the listings disappear when the campaign finishes. Those limits are outside our control. They do not undo the campaign for the time it was running.

Sell the link to Google Ads, targeting from Google search history, and remarketing. For B2B, remarketing matters because the sale often takes more than one visit: you can reach people who have already been on the site. Offer a consultation on their goals and what they already run. If they rely on organic reach, show how the ads can target a specific audience. A workshop can walk through targeting, placements, and reach in plain language, with an example such as a local bakery. If they already run YouTube ads, an audit can look for weak targeting or a thin keyword list.
When the campaign is working, the next orders are separate: Google Search and Display on the keywords and audiences that fit, retargeting people who watched and did not convert, social ads, and search work on the website so the paid visits have a page that can be found. Load that project in the portal, or raise it in Basecamp.

You keep the client. We set up the campaign, test it, and send a monthly report you can brand. Ad spend is billed separately.
