Keyword package
- The count follows competition.
- A low- or medium-competition niche can start at 20 or 30 keywords.
- High competition calls for 40 or more.
- Adding keywords later means upgrading the package.
Two ways to run it, and a site uses only one. A keyword package is sized to the niche. A consulting engagement is Maintenance, Normal, Advanced, or Aggressive, and it can take on more keywords later without a new charge. On-page error fixing and link building are already in the standard packages.
The summary cites Google's top three results taking more than half of all clicks (Markitors, 15/11/2023). It also cites more than 60% of small businesses using SEO to reach the people already looking (SEO AI, 24/04/2024). Those figures describe the market. They are not a result we promise for one site.
The rankings this programme works on are the organic results. Paid listings and map listings are a different service.
Someone searching for the offer is closer to a purchase, a call, or a sign-up than a cold audience.
Ranking ahead of other pages is also how the public record of the business stays the one you want people to see.
Paid search is getting more expensive. The early work to position a site can return more than that paid traffic later. That is the case the summary makes, not a guarantee.
The work follows the same process. Reporting is the part that differs. One website takes one style.
How it runs
The first month is research and the first implementations. Later months keep the on-page work, the authority work, and the articles going. Once a quarter we disavow links that do not meet Google's quality guidelines.
The site is working when it ranks on the first page for most of the keywords in the campaign. The aim is the top three for most of those keywords, so the people who searched can find it. The three measures are ranking, traffic, and conversions. Directory listings and the content should also make the business look like the one it is.
More traffic is typical, not guaranteed. We do not turn that traffic into leads. That is conversion rate optimisation, ordered separately. A search engine can change the algorithm, and visibility can fall when it does.
Recurring work is charged from the day the project is opened until the first of each month, or until you pause it. Gather the logins and the keyword decision before you open it, so the work is not waiting.
| Task | Your agency | |
|---|---|---|
| We set up Agency Analytics, SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Revan, then send a white-label audit covering content, pages, indexing, design, speed, and FAQs, with a strategy from that audit. | ||
| We send benchmarks at the start, then on-page recommendations and draft descriptions for the business directories. | ||
| After you approve them, we make the SEO changes on the site: error fixing, page optimisation, and broken links. | ||
| We build authority with the link methods in the package, using the directory descriptions you approved. | ||
| We send a monthly white-label report of the work and the measures: traffic, rankings, and the other outcomes. | ||
| We can talk through the technical terms when you need that explained. | ||
| Manage what the client expects, and stay close to the work. | ||
| Logins for the website, Google Analytics, and Search Console, sent through Basecamp. | ||
| A decision on the final keywords. We recommend them. The client approves them. | ||
| A timely review of on-page recommendations. On a large site this continues. We do not implement a change until you approve it. | ||
| A timely review of directory descriptions. We do not post them until you approve them. | ||
| Brand the monthly report with your agency before it goes to your client. |

It optimises how the site, and the business behind it, performs on search engines, so the business is easier to find and the public record is managed. It does not do any other job.
If the goal is to turn visitors into leads, order conversion rate optimisation as well. Search engines can change the algorithm at any time.
A campaign that lifts organic visibility is the moment to offer conversion rate optimisation, so the extra visits become enquiries or sales.
If leads are already coming in, Google Ads can add more of the same traffic. Email and social sit alongside it. A mix usually does more than one channel on its own.

The white-label fee is priced so you can add your own margin. Once a client is happy, social and Google Ads are the usual next offer.
Talk about visibility and traffic, not the tooling. A strategy consultation is where the client's questions get answered before they buy.
